Sheep Bone Christmas Wreathby ~towelgirl21

Artisan Crafts / Basketry & Weavings

Here is a Christmas wreath I made totally from scratch. I went out in the woods and pulled down some vines, twisted them together, wrapped ribbon and jingle bells on it, then gathered sheep bones from our neighbors's sheep graveyard and pine cones from our yard and painted them with acrylics, finishing up by tying the painted pine cones and bones on the wreath with fishing line. My sister hates it and says it's creepy, but I love it! It's unique to be sure. (Don't worry about the sheep; they died of natural causes. They were not killed for their bones or anything.)

We do things different at my house.

Media: Vines, ribbon, jingle bells, fishing line, hanging-wire-thing, real sheep bones, pine cones, acrylic paint.

This is definitely different! I kind of like the bones, they're a little odd, but I think they're sort of festive and earthy.
